The Ivy Coach is an independent college admissions consulting practice committed to helping students gain admission to boarding/prep schools, colleges and universities, or graduate schools. To accomplish this, we counsel our students in selecting appropriate schools and coach them on writing powerful applications.

The philosophy that guides and motivates us in our work is the belief that all students can find an appropriate college where they can be successful academically, extracurricularly and socially.  Through their experiences they can mature, develop confidence, and reach their ultimate goals and aspirations.

Our Message to Students

There are very few decisions in a young adult’s life that will have as great an impact as choosing a college. Naturally, students who have excelled in high school want to continue to excel in college.  They seek an educational environment that will push them, challenge them, and help them to accomplish their hopes, dreams and aspirations.

First and foremost you want to receive the best possible education, but you might have also thought about the other aspects of your college experience. Will you be exposed to new passions both academically and personally? Will you meet new and interesting people? Will you make lifelong friends? Will you be able to play your favorite sport or participate in your favorite extracurricular activities? Will you be happy at the college that you ultimately choose?

The entire college admissions process requires diligent work, careful study, planning and creativity, paying attention to deadlines and making some major decisions. As you begin searching for colleges, you will find that there are so many details to consider and then of course there is the major concern about getting admitted. It can be an overwhelming process and you've never done this before.

We consult with students from across the country and around the globe. Since not all families can take advantage of face-to-face sessions, we also counsel students by phone, email, webcam (Skype) and fax.

Let The Ivy Coach take the mystery and frustration out of this process and assist you every step of the way. Let the Ivy Coach help you at Winning at the College Admissions Game.

Our Message to Parents

Our proven approach guides our students through the college admissions process, but our primary mission is to match your child with appropriate schools. You want your child to be successful in life, but most of all you want your child to be happy. Choosing a college that will in the end be the perfect fit is perhaps the biggest decision you and your child will ever have to make. Then we search for your child's "hook" (that specialty that sets your child apart) and through essay answers, activity sheets, resumes, counselor and teacher recommendations and college interviews we work with your child to promote that "hook". Throughout the process we are available to you and your child and have the expertise to help with ALL of your concerns, every step of the way.

With The Ivy Coach’s guidance, the student gains insight into his/her values and passions that result in logical decision-making and self-confidence.   Building a resume, learning how to interview, and writing powerful personal statements are just some of the skills that will be of benefit in all of the student’s future endeavors.

Raising adolescents is challenging enough, but do not allow the admissions process to get in the way of the relationship you have with your child. Let us assist you during this ever so stressful time. Let us alleviate your concerns to ensure that your teen is working to his/her fullest potential and working at the admissions process in a timely manner. Your child only has one chance at gaining acceptance at the college of his or her choice.  You cannot afford to make mistakes.

Let The Ivy Coach help your child to maximize on this opportunity. This is your child's future and The Ivy Coach can be an invaluable resource.
